Trump Bronze Statue Unveiled in DC

A larger-than-life bronze statue of former President Donald Trump was unveiled in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 18, 2025, just days ahead of the presidential inauguration.

This stunning 15-foot-tall statue, crafted by Ohio artist Alan Cottrill, captures a defining moment from Trump’s political career: his fist-pumping gesture following a close call during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, after an assassination attempt on July 13, 2024, as reported by the New York Post.

The statue is valued at approximately $1 million and was commissioned by a group of cryptocurrency investors associated with the project known as $PATRIOT. These supporters aimed to honor Trump’s resilience and defiance in the face of adversity.

Cottrill has stated that this project is both his largest and most controversial work to date. He is known for his large-scale sculptures, including a notable statue of Thomas Edison located in the U.S. Capitol.

@KingofBones1 generally, statues of presidents were frowned upon by founding fathers, as they did not want people to revere their presidents the same way kings demanded reverence. Trivia: first president on US currency was washington in 1869, and he was not on the front of the $1 bill until 1896.

That said, i don’t think this statue was commissioned by any branch of government, so i think it is silly to take issue with it.
