Rubio for Secretary of State? Is Trump out of his mind?

I don't understand why Trump picked Rubio for Secretary of State. Mike Tyson would have a better temperament
for serving as diplomat-in-chief.

Rubio is a Cuban who has never gotten rid of his ethnic flaws. He is no different from Judge Merchan, a Columbian crook. Far from contributing to America, they are immigrants to our country, visitors at heart; and, like Nikki Haley, they bring bad medicine to the USA.

You’re a bit rough on the politicians. Perhaps these people you cite( and you have your reasons) are they not capable of bringing good, strong positive ideas and values regardless what their ethnic background is?
And we should not forget many immigrants and descendants of immigrants have made great contributions to this country. And to be fair others have not.
Rubio and Haley, both American citizens born in the U.S. Yes Merchan born in Columbia.
Where they come from or their ethnic heritage does not necessarily make them a good or bad person. It is their character that does.

And the OP was more leaning on the ethnic backgrounds, not the voting records of those people,IMO implying their ethic backgrounds are problematic. I disagree,

But war is too popular to question - nobody would notice and you don't believe me! So it's like it's never going to be realistic to talk peace with moderates or conservatives. War always only and you don't know voting records.

@soar2newhighs if you remain utterly unaware of the voting records of our legislators, you must be pro war. This conservative think tank gave Rubio glowing reviews on war spending and war funding and war in general.Nobody needs to notice it when they like war, and talking about it makes the aggression controversial. So you didn't notice really? I'd say that's almost impossible. You either like the wars or you noticed the voting and were sad.

@soar2newhighs the think tank ranked legislators based on their actual votes, not on what they think. The USA arms Israel and Ukraine and has no plans for peace anywhere, and has a crumbling state of health domestically based directly on Rubio's votes in the Senate. Since you once accepted war and joined in, I have to assume you accept war and don't have much interest in the politics of anti war people or in the non violent alternatives. The people at the think tanks understand the profits in war.

@Roundandroundwego I was referring to the “ Think tank”. War is a money maker. Arms sales is a money maker. All of the administrations have engaged in arms/ weapons sales. War is good for economies.
Healthcare; as I said I didn’t follow how he voted.
Don’t assume what I join in. You don’t know me and what I say is mere opinion.
Interesting you raise anti war people. Where are the massive anti war people over the Ukraine Russia conflict.? They’re out there for the Hamas / Israel war. Seems the “ Anti war” People are selective in what “ wars they protest.

@soar2newhighs the people aren't visible, it's impossible to count, but without leftists who lead, Americans really do have two right wings, they excluded everyone who isn't pro war decades ago. I'm a person, I'm here, but the country is moderate and conservative only, we're treated as an enemy.

@soar2newhighs genocide doesn't bother the two parties, most people scoff at my views - things remain utterly normal! But things change. Everyone backed the resistance after the Nazis got crushed. Before? Nobody.
