forced unity is as ignorant and foolhardy as the belief that we'll ever have a single world government; It's been tried for thousands of years, it always fails... yet they keep trying...

@wildbill83 Unity and uniformity are not the same thing. World government is an idea for science fiction not a realistic political aim - although some believe that God will reign unopposed: but I don't think that will be put to the vote.
