I don't get this idea that America has two right wings, the left is right wing but not as much as the right

I think it's the opposite, we have two left wings if anything in America. It seems most conservatives nowadays aren't very conservative. They're socially liberal for the most part, a good chunk are atheists or laissez-faire about religion, the Church is like pro-LGBT (in some places). It was the opposite decades ago, leftists had more right wing values than they do today.
