You can focus on small, domestic issues that might affect you directly, or bigger foreign policies that affect events globally. There's many reasons to pick one party over the other, but in the UK, our foreign policy hardly differs from one party to the next. Both Labour and Conservatives are willing to act as a vassal state for the USA.
