Reality is beginning to set in, and some Republican leaders are beginning to push back. You mean deporting 11 million workers and slapping tariffs on most imports will cripple the economy -- particularly agriculture, hospitality and other industries heavily reliant on low-wage earners -- re-fueling inflation just when it was beginning to come under control following the pandemic? You mean the shelves at Walmart are going to be bare or costs through the roof due to tariffs? You mean the anti-immigration stance is going to hit the high tech industry hard at the same time we are trying to maintain the U.S. edge and leverage in it?
