Not the 2016 Cubs?

@eli1601 They should get one for providing the best moment of this century. Good thinking Eli.

@luckranger71 The 2004 Red Sox would argue that their moment was best.

Having then President Barack Obama hosting the Cubs was perfect!
Former First Lady Michelle is a fan. But the president is a Dirty Hose fan, never liked us and constantly made fun of us, one time deriding us as "wine drinkers."
Well, in 2016, on his watch, we drank champagne!

@eli1601 The 2004 WS was a bore. Although it was nice to see the Cardinals swept. Game 7 of the 2016 series is top 3 of all time (1960 and 1991 game 7s) and the best of this century.

@luckranger71 But the best moment in 2004 was the comeback against the Yankees. You said moment. Not World Series moment.

As a Cub fan, on that point at least we can agree. 😂

@eli1601 Still not as exciting as the 2016 WS. Game 7 of the ALCS was a blowout. Also, to the rest of America outside of the Northeast, the Yankees and the Red Sox are basically viewed as the same. No one takes sides in their rivalry.

Imagine this happening in your HOME PARK after losing game 7 of the World Series.

As much as my Cubbies are beloved in the Midwest, I wouldn't even go that far to agree with that above statement.
You'd better take a look at this map. Just look at which teams rank as #1, 2 or 3 in popularity around the country.
Their fandoms sure aren't limited to the Northeast.
What the hell is going in Salt Lake City? Or New Mexico? Or Wyoming? Or much of Colorado? Or Nebraska? Or in the Dakotas? Even in much of Kansas? Even in the Deep South? Yes, Alaska, too.
