Twitter forced members to make their point in 280 characters, so you had to be pithy and cut the nuance if you were to "win" the debate. Then it became easier to use memes, coz a picture paints a thousand words, etc. Now, here we are in a new world, dictated by the attention span of a goldfish and a message limit of under 300 characters.
