First transgender woman elected to congress

Congratulations to Sarah McBride the first transgender woman to be elected to the House of Representatives. She will be representing Delaware. I'm so glad this happened. It is a small step forward. Of course, she will have to deal with bigotry and prejudice from small-minded, backward people.

They already won’t let her use the women’s restroom. I wonder how the bigot men will feel about her using theirs.

@trollslayer she doesn't care. She has one in her office. I feel certain she is confident enough to look upon her detractors as the slime that they are. With a grin.

@JimboSaturn it is a non issue. These people would much prefer the abuse she would certainly endure should she be forced to use the men's room.

@trollslayer they are probably afraid that they will be attracted to her. They will not be willing to admit how they really feel.

@trollslayer men are not allowed to use the woman’s bathroom. Women are not allowed to use the men’s bathroom. Just because you dress up as a woman doesn’t make you one! At least not to anyone sane or delusional!
It is so out there that by as many people go along with it, just shows how much this world has fallen. Maybe I should identify as a rich person and then everyone should accept the fake money I use to buy things with and treat it like it’s real money!

@specman so you are okay with a trans woman using the mens room? Interesting.
specman · 51-55, MVIP
@trollslayer ok.

What would be ideal would be them having their own bathroom.
James25 · 61-69, M
@specman Yes, that would solve a lot of the problems. But it would not solve the bigotry and prejudice against them. It would persist regardless of any solution because they don't want them to exist.

@trollslayer I think you'd find that most biological women wouldn't feel confortable sharing the ladies toilets with a trans woman. It's not right or wrong, it's just an understandable viewpoint.
