Reality shock - China's carbon emissions doubled in the past decade, while the US went into debt to subsidize renewable energy.

“What if I told you” . . . that we’re trapped in a false reality, and nothing we’ve been told is real? No . .. this isn’t what Morbius told Neo in the Matrix. But close enough. The lie we’re being told is that the Trillions America goes into debt to halt climate change aren’t going to make a difference. Because China is doubling its carbon emissions every 10 years, and now emits as nearly much CO2 as the entire rest of the world combined. Double the CO2 from the US, Europe, and India combined. See link below.

Before you dismiss these findings as BS, consider the source: the uber-respected Global Carbon Project. This is not some self-promoting US government agency, which has a vested interest keeping its ginormous budgets alive.

But how can this be? How can China have doubled CO2 over the decade? They’re flooding the internet with pictures of giant wind turbines.

Um . . . yes, they are. But if you google “air pollution in China”, you can see the emissions in real time. China continues to open coal fired electric plants at a record pace. Because, you know, they want to sell us Chinese made EVs. Steel. HDTVs. Clothing. Anything made out of plastic. Check your Amazon shopping cart. Where do your purchases come from, and what are they made of? Wind turbines aren’t being used to make steel. Or China’s military preparations to invade Taiwan. Or vast, empty Mongolian factory cities, which may never be completed.

We’re all gonna die, and there’s nothing we can do. As long as China (and India) continue to expand their fossil fuel use exponentially, there aren’t enough places in America to put solar panels and wind farms to make a difference. In case you missed it, India is now the primary buyer of Russian oil and coal. You can see their cargo ships jockeying for position in the port of Mumbai, with satellite photos.

The real problem is NOT America’s insatiable demand for new cars, 75 inch televisions, smart phones, and designer athletic footwear. It’s the aspirations of the REST of the world to live exactly like we do. THAT’s why we’re all gonna die. Everyone is inevitably going to have cars, and lots of electronic gear, and a ginormous wardrobe. China simply wants to sell them all that stuff.

I’m just sayin’ . . .

China's economy is also expanding at on average double that of the US.

They also have Billions of people, not 350 million.

And sure there is some increases but unlike the US they are actually trying to do something about it in a serious way.

They have already beat the US in the EV race. The US had to slap a 100% tariff on Chinese cars because they cannot compete.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow so, it's okay to keep opening coal fired electric plants as fast as possible, if you want to dominate global trade?

good to know!
@SusanInFlorida They have made it very clear for years they do so with the intention of it being a temporary measure to keep things going till they can switch to something else. They have also shut down many coal fire plants and air quality in places like Beijing have drastically improved a a result.

They are not like the GOP who want to drag the US kicking and screaming to a permanent dependence on 17th century technology because George Soros will brainwash you through wind turbines or whatever is the latest nonsense.

One province in China has more high speed rail than the entire USA.

Meanwhile the US is looking for excuses to justify their country turning into a 3rd world nation.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow if you tell a lie often enough, people will believe it.

"coal plants are just until we figure out how to build more windmills"

"the $35 trillion national debt is not a problem"

"there is no housing affordability crisis in america"

"we need all 800+ military bases around the world"

I can keep doing this all day.
@SusanInFlorida Nice false equivalences.

And the statement that the coal plants are temporary are not lies. It has been official policy and been born out since the 2000s.

Your ignorance doesn't make something a lie.

The difference is the US wants to go back to 1700s technology for energy to gaslight Republican voters in WV that coal is going to make a come back and has a future.
That is the lie. Buying votes with false hope.
