How significant is the recent escalation between NATO and Russia?

NATO is now allowing the use of American and British missiles in Russian territory. In September, Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer decided, after discussions, not to allow this. We can assume the reason is wanting to avoid escalation. Putin issued a very clear warning and they appeared to listen.

What has changed since then? It has only been two months. Russia continues to do well, which is not a change as Russian military has been doing well for over a year. Why is Biden, before he leaves office, allowing Ukraine to use these missiles? He knows what the potential consequences are. Starmer also knows what the consequences are. The deep state know the consequences. This can only be a way to try to sabotage Trump's presidency.

Do you think this escalation is significant? What do you think will happen?

putin escalates regardless, and he can yap away as much as he wants, he longer has any credibility. Nobody cares what he says about anything.

russia is not doing well anywhere. They advance by a few fields which cost them thousands of dead, and then they are driven back a few days later. For over 1,000 days the barbarians have been stymied... and the Ukrainians now own Kursk 😂

What's putin going to do? He had to beg North Korea for troops because nobody wants to go and die in Ukraine just so putin can build another luxury villa. His munitions are rubbish from Iran and North Korea, the russian economy is in the toilet, and russian society has had more than enough of watching what used to be russia's future bleeding to death into Ukrainian soil.

But it's not a problem because trump says he will end the war in a single day, and he always does what he promises, right?

Right?

Nobody cares about trump's braggadocio and lies and buffoonery... he's not a player in any of this. He hasn't yet worked out that if you can't tell who the patsy is... it's you (his supporters have the same problem)

@newjaninev2 You are another user who lives on another planet, or are taking illegal substances, like AgentOfChaos says. Russia has made gains in the past year. Ukraine is losing. The weapons and support they receive from NATO is the only reason they are still in this war. They are being encircled in Kursk and sent away, and Russia is expanding its territory in Ukraine. The pro Ukraine British and liberal American media are able to admit this. If they can admit it, why can't you? You are like Hitler when he thought he could still beat Russians in 1945, after the German army had nothing left to give. Willing something to happen isn't enough. You are probably sitting there like a witch, trying to curse Russia into losing this war. If the police raided your home, they would find witchcraft materials and Ukraine posters all over the place. There would be pictures of Putin with darts in them. You would have pentagrams and other satanic paraphernalia.

With the western media admitting Ukraine is losing the war, I do wonder where you get your ideas from. This is what fanaticism does to someone.

Ukraine is kicking the barbarians in the teeth while using the West's surplus and obsolete munitions.

Day 1,002 😀

Mortgage rate in russia... 30%, business loans over 25%, inflation about to explode, massive labour shortages, equipment cannot be maintained, railways grinding to a halt, aviation in disarray, export markets gone... and the population wondering where all their young men have gone.

They are being encircled in Kursk and sent away
... yet are somehow still in Kursk (which will be one of Ukraine's new territories after the referendum) 😂

@newjaninev2 What are you on?

@ImNotHungry It's not fanaticism... it's amused confidence

@newjaninev2 On economy, Russia's GDP rose almost 4%. Ukraine has lost 30% of its GDP. The number of damaged or destroyed buildings is in the hundreds of thousands. It will cost hundreds of billions to fix Ukraine. Almost seven million Ukrainians have left the country. 3.7 million are internally displaced. 650,000 men of fighting age fled the country. Men are taken from the streets, from their homes and kidnapped. Men continue to stay in hiding so they aren't sent to the Ukrainian meat grinder.

Russia's GDP rose almost 4%
it went from -1.7% to 1.3% ... and that rise was only because the criminal régime is dumping massive amounts of cash into circulation. Of course, that's the economic equivalent of mainlining hard drugs... the crash will be spectacular! 😂

Part of your comment would possibly benefit from the addition of clarifying detail:

russia's murderous invasion of the sovereign democracy of Ukraine means that Ukraine has lost 30% of its GDP.

Because of russia's murderous invasion of the sovereign democracy of Ukraine the number of damaged or destroyed buildings is in the hundreds of thousands.

Because of russia's murderous invasion of the sovereign democracy of Ukraine it will cost hundreds of billions to fix Ukraine.

Because of russia's murderous invasion of the sovereign democracy of Ukraine almost seven million Ukrainians have left the country through fear of the barbarians and 3.7 million are internally displaced because the terrorists have destroyed their homes or are temporarily occupying their land.

"I want to emphasise in particular that the russian armed forces do not strike at the cities of Ukraine. Nothing threatens the civilian population of Ukraine"

Lt. General Konashenkov... shortly before the russian people launched massive missile strikes against schools, apartment buildings, hospital, shopping malls, and playgrounds.

But on the bright side:

@SW-User You make sweeping claims as it suits, but when confronted by harsh reality it suddenly becomes 'where are your sources?'

run along
ImNotHungry · 36-40, M
@newjaninev2 So you DON'T have sources 🤣😂
SW-User
@newjaninev2 Where are your sources? You can't back up your lies.

Ukraine has been pummelled. It has an increasing number of men who don't want to fight. Russia has made gains and is winning the war. Russia fares better than Ukraine and NATO in a number of areas. It produces 3 million artillery shells per year and a rate which is three times faster than NATO, at a cheaper cost. What are you going to do when Ukraine has to agree to a peace deal?
SW-User
@newjaninev2 What is the harsh reality? That Ukraine is losing? Your witchcraft isn't working, Baba Yaga

@SW-User In her defense, she lives as far away from reality as you can get without living on another planet. She has no actual clue, but rants on an on to present herself in some way as relevant.

She whines about Trump, yet while he was in office, there were no wars. Her incessant hatred exposes her foolishness.

The assertions about Ukraine's marvelous victories are actually her parroting the BS leftist media is feeding her. Since she has the intelligence of a cabbage, she can't actually think for herself. Arguing with her is worthless. It's like trying to explain to a dog not to lick his balls. My advice, save your typing skills for someone worth the banter.

@carpediem
there were no wars

There were several wars... trump simply didn't start them, and nor did he end them. He was, in fact, ineffectual.
