Just imagine the positive impact on immigration if:

The DOJ went all in all hands om deck and shut down tyson or JBS. Sizing all stock Capitol and liquidated it piece by piece in less that 30 days while jailing their executives and board of directors without bail.

Using human trafficking and RICO statutes for staffing their slaughter houses anf processing plants with illegal immigrants.

That was how it worked until Reagan. He changed the law so that the powerful and rich who exploit undocumented workers get a free pass and poor people just trying to make a better living for their families get criminalized as well as exploited.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Reagan didn't abolish such laws. He just stacked the enforcement mechanism in both judiciary and in the DOJ enforcement side with corporate hacks that seized the enforcement. The laws are sfill there. The DOJ just lacke the courage and funding to enforce ot from that front.
@Alabamarednek I looked into it and you are right. It is still on the books but he effectively made it policy to not enforce anything at the top end.
