The liberals divided this country with what they did in approving government involvement in anbortion and divided the country. Had they taken the correct course of action outlined at the top of this thread, the country wouldn’t have been divided over the last 50 years and the damage they caused continues.

@jackjjackson Trump is not a liberal. At least not anymore. Then again he will espouse any ideology that gives him power. He has said so himself in the past.

Trump wasn’t around when the liberals bungled Roe v Wade. @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow

@jackjjackson Riiight. So he is in no way responsible for the judges he personally appointed. Convenient.

You really know little about the case, do you? Because that is basically what Roe said!
TexChik · F
The lib lawyer for Roe lied about what had happened to the plaintiff to secure the win (it was a Dallas, TX case) Any time libs are in power they overstep their authority and force their ideas on the rest of us. Trump was right to give the power over abortions back to the states and keep the Fed out of it.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
You do get my point that the ruling by libs in that case inserted the government into abortion and it easily could have kept government out. To me I agree sending it to the states is way better than the federal government. The more local the better. Perhaps the next steps should be the states sending it to the towns, cities, counties, and other municipalities which are even more local and have the best sense of the residents any legislation would effect.
Most Americans SEEM to believe that up to certain point let’s say for example the middle of pregnancy for example (I don’t know when the right point falls) a woman has absolute choice (during this time it could be any reason at all, whim, financial, not wanting to be a mother, rape, incest, potential birth defects, etc, ANYTHING). After that period ends then abortion in the case of life of the mother. I believe even the majority of health care professionals agree with that approach. There are relatively few on the total ban and or the free for all to the last minute and maybe a little after the last minute extremes. Why all the fuss? While I’m at it why do the politicians always use the term “fight”? Should things be decided by best consensus and second best by majority following reasonable discussion? @TexChik

The motto of the right. It is always someone else' fault.

Truth always strikes a nerve. Don’t wet the bed at least for once. Here you do it multiple times daily. @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow

Something I've never understood:if a woman happens to live in California or another state that allows pretty much abortion -on-demand,then why to they care about what happens in the rest of the country?
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Good point. I mentioned that to my wife and pointed out our daughters and nieces live in MD, NY, NJ and CA. That pissed her off and she claimed she cared about everyone. @DavidT8899

@jackjjackson In others words -and I say this meaning no personal offense to your wife ,as I'm sure she's a wonderful woman- progressives just can't leave well enough alone, even when they have what they want for themselves. They just have to impose it on everyone, and they have no respect for the fact that other people believe differently from them.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
I agree completely. That’s why they’re the real fascists and their calling others thst is just projective that fools no one except themselves and maybe not even that since they’re insecure and have little or no moral core. @DavidT8899

But what matters now is what the Roberts Court wrote.

Liberals decided Roe v Wade which imposed government limits. Fact. Shut up. @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow

@jackjjackson Always someone else' fault. Pass the buck. The right wing way.

Liberals made that SCOTUS decision which set government limits on abortion. You know I’m right. They SHOULD have written: The government has zero rule in abortion. It is a mother father medical decision. Full stop. End of story. Period. THAT would have prudent and United not divided the United States. @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow
