Canada may not be an option for Americans looking to flee Trumpistan this time around

I know that among those that can, some Americans likely will be looking to leave after the latest election. That being said they should know Trudeau is taking a page from the right and cracking down on the number of immigrants we accept to shift blame for his utter failure at solving the affordable housing crisis. So depending on numbers moving next door might not be an option for some.

No American actually ever wants to move to Canada. It's a desolate wasteland that we exile traitors to. The survivors built a few cities over the last few centuries, and claim it is a country. Nobody travels up north to verify these claims.

I helped my friend buy land and build a house in the philippines. Went over last year and saw it. It's simple but nice. Three bedroom, two baths, and three kitchens! Has AC and hot water. Power is updated. New lights.
The outside atea is covered and fenced in. Ceramic tile. Built in planters with tropical flowers. Also have a honda civic over there. New tires and battery. AC works.
Worst case I could go there. Money goes a lot further there too. It's on higher ground and not by the coasts so it's safer. Even has a cat.

I couldn’t afford to move countries anyway. Thankfully I live in a free democratic state, and there’s an emergency session of the state Senate being called to constitutionalize some of our basic rights before the orange menace takes the oath.

@Zaphod42 In your case, if things get messy, look for your state to combine with others and declare an economic civil war. Refusing to contribute to Federal funding of the States that push the Project 2025 agenda. Declaring economic independence.😷
