Congrats on a clean sweep. I'm not a Trump fan but I believe in election outcomes.
Clearly the American public expects results and insured Trump had complete power so there would be no excuses. He had complete power in the 2016 election too but people seems to ignore that.
So I have a question that really shouldn't be hard to answer but it seems to be very difficult to get an answer. That is what is going to be the metrics of success that he will be judged on when his administration ends?
Usually if I ask a question like that it gets a generic response like America will be great again. That's cute but how do we measure that versus what already exists today or previously?
So really all I'm asking for are statistical measurements where there's no emotional influence that shows whether his administration is successful or not.
In the corporate world I can't just say I did my job perfectly. Nobody has done this work as well as me etc. I've got to be able to prove it in a measurable manner. And there are measures of success that do prove it so it shouldn't be too much to ask.
Trump has a propensity to claim achievements because he knows his followers won't actually check that's why I'm asking for statistical measurements that will prove it.
And by those measurements I'm referring to things like GDP growth, unemployment rate, inflation, debt generated to create the GDP growth, health care costs, crime rates, and so on.
There ought to be metrics that we can agree that will either prove or disprove his success right?

@NerdyPotato I would be willing to accept the government statistics because that stuff gets copied into multiple databases and is used to generate private reports so if they retroactively change the government statistics it would show a discrepancy with the private data.
Trump doesn't concern himself with details like changing the metrics because he knows his followers won't check.
He's been claiming we had the strongest economy in US history under his administration but looking at the government reports even during his administration would clearly indicate that wasn't true but again that would imply people look.
You are 100% on point because in his administration before metrics didn't move the way he said they did and people believed it and apparently still do.

@DomMan67 oh yes, I'd be willing to accept them too. His followers won't though if those go against their expectations.

@NerdyPotato I've always been a registered independent. I've never been a member of either political party.
What I don't understand is why when things go poorly under Trump it's not his fault but when things go poorly under another Administration it is their fault. It isn't logical or even rational yet I hear it everyday.
So I would like metrics that eliminate the blame but that isn't possible as far as I can tell because basic economic metrics don't apply when you talk about Trump. Trump will literally claim it is fake news even though his own Administration produced it and the majority of his followers will believe it.
It is baffling to me.
The ship has sailed though so it's going to be interesting to see where it leads and I hope
it isn't to "iceberg dead ahead".
We will soon find out.
