The Washington Post has issued anti-Trump endorsements in both of his other presidential elections, so breaking the tradition in 2024 sends a message, whether it was intentional or not. Some are worried that Bezos was concerned about potential business retribution for going against Trump. A former columnist at the paper resigned, making the argument that the Post is “bending the knee to Donald Trump because we're afraid of what he will do.”

Ex-editor at large and longtime columnist Robert Kagan, a conservative Trump critic, resigned from his position in the editorial board after the decision emerged.
Kagan suggested Bezos had set up a deal with Bezos and his space company Blue Origin.
'We are in fact bending the knee to Donald Trump because we're afraid of what he will do,' Kagan said on CNN.
Another columnist, Michele Norris, walked out the door on Sunday writing on X that the decision not to endorse was a 'terrible mistake'.

@JSul3 oh I posted plenty of that and I've taken them from the medias reports on YouTube and you can see and hear Trump actually saying these words but they ignore it. And come back with the same rhetoric.
It's a waste of time but because it's my post I have to initiate in conversation (not really sure of similar world's policies though) plus there will be a hand full who will read what it said and eyes will be open. 😌
