I've been struck by this watching Trump and Harris rallies:

Trump is so low energy, flagging, listless but most notably hateful. The enemy Kamal is low IQ, foreigners hate us blah blah blah...all delivered in a barely awake doze.

Meanwhile Harris is telling her supporters what they can do to help their fellow Americans, that they have power to do this, that hope is the future and cheering them on even as they cheer for her!

The vibe is so different.

Curious, would MAGA really disagree with this on any other grounds than that they're happy about the doom and gloom Trump is spouting? Or at least that he promises to end the doom and gloom just like he was going to "drain the swamp"?

It comes down to their core philosophy.

I have issues with the Democrats but Harris is telling people they can work together to make their country stronger and better.

Trump is all about how the US is some fallen society in a good vs evil narrative and only he can save them making him the messiah of his narrative.

Which also makes everyone else in the country expendable in his little hero drama.
