Illegal Alien Kids Target Times Square Amid Surge in Robberies

Children of illegal aliens are suspected of a crime wave impacting Times Square, according to the NYPD.

The department announced that more than 20 children may be involved in a series of robberies targeting people in the busy Times Square area, according to ABC7.

Law enforcement said that some of the youngest suspects could be 11 years old, which makes it easier for them to get away with the robberies and stay out of jail, allowing them to continue terrorizing residents and tourists.

The spree started during the summer, with Central Park being the target. Assistant Chief of Detectives Jason Savino told the outlet that Times Square has now become “their playground.”

“They’re reckless and as ruthless as a crew as we’ve seen,” he said. “When you look at this core group of 20 individuals, this is their ground zero.”

Savino, who concentrates on gangs, said that this particular gang consists of young illegal aliens whose families are being sheltered at the Roosevelt Hotel.

Calling themselves “los diablos,” meaning little devils, the gang is a subgroup of the deadly Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, who has begun establishing territories across the country.

The gang has taken over four apartment complexes in Texas.

Their crime wave has increased, and they brag about their crimes on social media. The gang started off small and began to grow, bringing terror to Times Square.

“It started with snatches and then you saw wolfpack-type robberies where numerous individuals surrounding unsuspected tourists, frightening them, and then taking their properties,” said Savino.

“That graduated certainly into knives and then ultimately there were gunpoint robberies committed by the young crew.”

One New York resident told ABC7 that she’s constantly alert as she walks through Times Square.

“I mean, as a New Yorker, you should be, you know, just kind of comes with the territory,” said Anastacia Tucker. “But I think more police on foot also helps a better presence.”

To locate the offenders, law enforcement is using undercover strategies, drones and uniformed officers. However, they are looking to win over the judges.

“The DA is making recommendations that just aren’t adhered to. “We have to look at our judges and make them more accountable,” said Savino.

Some gang members are without parental support, and the NYPD reports that the majority of them come from Venezuela.

Authorities stated that part of the gang initiation involves completing dares to commit crimes, and those who fail are compelled to lick the floor of a subway.
