ABC News Left in Shock as Harris Storms Off During Campaign Rally
Vice President Kamala Harris got flustered and walked off stage during a small rally held on Friday in Wisconsin, leaving ABC News at a loss for words.
The network cut to Harris’ rally to do live coverage while on the campaign trail. As soon as the correspondent began to give an introduction of what was occurring, Harris could be seen walking off stage, throwing her hand up, appearing to be agitated.
The correspondent began to question what the topic of discussion was. After a long pause, she continued with an “okay.”
Before her departure, Harris was interrupted by a Hamas sympathizer from the University of Wisconsin, who accused her of supporting genocide.
As she was complimenting the students, telling them that she was “invested” in them, one student shouted, “And in genocide, right?”
Harris could be heard repeating, “Excuse me.”
The student then went on to point out that the Biden-Harris administration spent billions of dollars to go towards Israel’s efforts to defeat Hamas.
A clearly annoyed Harris acknowledged the student’s concerns.
“I respect your right to speak,” she said.
Harris then went on to use one of her famous lines.
“I’m speaking right now,” she continued. “I know what you’re speaking of. I want the ceasefire.”
Harris’ response was not good enough for the student. He pressed her about the genocide occurring in Gaza, where thousands of Palestinian civilians have been killed as a result of the Israel-Hamas war.
The vice president continued to try and quiet the student, telling him that she also wanted an end to the war. Not backing down, the student once again asked her about the genocide.
Harris has been heckled on several occasions as she has been trying to gain supporters. She was also interrupted by protestors during a rally in Detroit, Michigan.
Can't handle a heckler, how she gonna handle putin?
