You know politics is changing when...

...a 75 year old socialist brings a giant print out of a Tweet to the Senate floor. Bernie does have a point though, as usual:

When Donald Trump is sworn into office, he won't be allowed to have his own cellphone. That's illegal. His Twitter army days might be ending soon.

@Randy1737: Well, it's gonna be kinda difficult for him not to.

@BMC. There is a potus twitter handle that Mr Trump will take over. Why should he stop doing something hugely successful.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
Whatever the conventions, I can't see Trump staying off Twitter.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
@Burnley123: why should he? It's a way to communicate directly to citizens without media spin although they unsuccessfully try after the fact spinning.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Jackjjacksonjr: Because managing the official POTUS Twitter feed is not anything similar to starting online fights with Stephen Colbert. You call that hugely successful? You must think arguments here on SW are also hugely successful.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick: here? 😂

Mr Trump has created a way to speak directly to citizens preempting prior media filtering. Now the media has to scramble to create spins.

Imagine that every time you wanted to speak to your signature other you had to tell his mother what you wanted to tell him and then depend on her to tell him.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Jackjjacksonjr: You're fucking kidding me. Fighting with people on Twitter is "a way to speak directly to citizens preemptive prior media filtering?" Do you actually read his Twitter posts, or do you just pretend they say whatever you want them to say? They're internet arguments, you dolt. People yelling "shut up fag" every fourth comments. They're not "ways of communicating before media filtering."
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick: admittedly some are combative others are substantive. Kind of refresheningly like a normal person. You can be somewhat feisty yourself lol.

@Jackjjacksonjr: He shouldn't be a normal person. He's the president, not a normal motherfucker like you and I.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick: I'd prefer Mr Trump, you or me to a professional politician
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Jackjjacksonjr: I wouldn't. Because you and I have no idea what the fuck we're doing. Stick me in office of president of the United motherfucking States and I dunno what I'm supposed to do. An outsider is desirable. Someone with zero political experience is not.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick: I respectfully disagree although I understand your point. My thinking is that the president's job is listening to all the information provided by experts and making choices, decisions, plans, asking questions. I like the idea of a non politician for once doing this. Getting a different point of view. We have seen what happens with the professional politician point of view.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Jackjjacksonjr: FFS. This is still going on. 😂
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
@Burnley123: she's coming around lol 😲
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Jackjjacksonjr: So not changing my opinion and repeatedly telling you so is "coming around?"
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick: 😀 Sure you being reasonable only a matter of time 😂
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Jackjjacksonjr: I bring reasonable? Bring reasonable what?

?????
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Jackjjacksonjr: This is what happens when imbeciles think they know what words means. The first thing wrong with that image is that the CD in the dummy's hand has the Obama campaign logo on it. Despite that Obama isn't a Marxist. But I wouldn't expect you to know that. I also wouldn't expect you to know what Marxism is at all, or how it differs from communism, or when and where it has succeeded or failed. Because you don't know these things. You just pretend you do, and act as if everyone else is supposed to pretend so too.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick: interesting please clarify I'm all ears.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Jackjjacksonjr: Marxism is similar to communism in that it doesn't revolve around redistribution of wealth so much as it does seek to completely abolish the use of currency entirely. Marxists believe that everyone in a society should be provided with free housing, free clothing, free food, free medical care, and so on, and that in exchange they offer their hard work. Instead of working and earning money for that work, and then spending that money on stuff, you work, and in exchange you get everything you need.

Barack Obama is not a Marxist. He doesn't believe in a society with no form of currency. Never has he suggested anything remotely Marxist. Attempting to provide affordable health plans is not Marxism, god dammit, and a shitty seven year old meme doesn't make that any better.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Oh that helps thanks!

😂
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Jackjjacksonjr: And yet they add Barack Obama's face in the background as if Obama is a communist...do you people even try to make your memes accurate?
