I really hate when my $500K offer on a house is outbid because some caravanning asylum seeker is dropping their fat stacks on property acquisition.

I know there's a lot of anti-immigration fervor going on these days, but come on people, use some critical thinking skills. 😓

Also, the estimated number of undocumented/illegal immigrants in the US is less than half of the numbers Vance keeps throwing out in this VP debate.

Same here in Canada. You got people whining about immigrants being the problem, the government tries to curb immigration because they have no solutions for the housing crisis but it is an easy scapegoat.

Not like the immigrants are buying 3 bedroom homes in the GTA for 1.4 million.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow You're welcome to help a homeless person oh but you live in Canada.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Canada is more socialist.
There is a housing crisis in Canada? @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow
@Spoiledbrat Not really. Then again Americans have no idea what socialism is.

My father was amazed while stationed at Colorado Springs that Americans at the time (78-79) thought Canada was a soviet republic because we had healthcare.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Well we're busy with our lives.
@Spoiledbrat Yes. There has been a housing crisis for a few years. I was not exaggerating when I said a 3 bedroom house in Toronto can run you north of 1 million dollars.

And the government has basically given up on trying to solve it and are picking on immigrants who have nothing to do with anything.
So they need cheap labor? @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow
@Spoiledbrat We need labour of all kinds. But none of that is related to the housing issue.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow No the convo just moved in that direction so I went with it.
