Despite their own crimes ,much of the developing world now views Russia and China as a better ally than the U.S.
Much like Democrats see Harris versus Trump..a lesser evil. The world is certainly shifting away ,reminded of past imperialism.

The US doesn't participate in the popularity contest. It's got NATO and you can be subservient or just dead.

And having the support of the majority will mean having access to their resources.
Europe relies on Africa for its oil and gas, and even uranium.
There is a reason you guys already lost support in several african regions, despite your military power and need to compare D size.

@Miram exactly. NATO frees the United States and Europe from the necessity of being "popular" with the people it contains and uses.

The necessity still exists. Still dependent on developing countries resources. The NATO is not controlling the shift. It has been happening for almost a decade. Russia has more influence, and not always through necessarily legitimate means either.
Same for China.

@Miram really? On what issues does the USA or NATO capitulate to the majority of the population? I see zero such cases. NATO thwarts the public globally in each locale.

They are aligning with russia and china regardless, and increasingly detaching from countries that damaged their interests.
