IMO, it kind of has but with heavy caveats.
There is an economic populist wing: social democrats led by AOC and Bernie Sanders but they have very few elected representatives. The party has definitely moved to the left on social issues.
However, the centrist neoliberal wing remains insitutionally dominant and you saw that in the election.
