Florida Republicans are trying to raise the voting threshold needed to pass abortion reforms from 60% to 66.667%

Clearly, Republicans are all for devolving powers to individual states, provided those states will then do what they want.

They did that in Missouri. On legalizing marijuana.......3 votes. First we voted YES by a 58% margin. So Republicans said....nope that is NOT how we want you to vote on this. So now what WE want instead of just voting YES by simple majority......we want to make sure you don't pass this so we refuse to acknowledge you want this legalized and we're gonna make you vote on this again...Only this time you need 60% Yes to pass this. So we voted again and legalized marijuana passed by a 66% majority. That really pissed Republicans off so they said nope--that vote don't count either so we're gonna make you vote again and this time it will be70%

Finally a flurry of lawsuits hit and the Missouri SCOTUS and they told Republicans to know it off. So the measure passed. But since Republicans were pissed that the voters actually had the gall to vote yes for something they didn't want they passed a flurry of bills to restrict where it was sold............stalled off on grow farm permits........and wanted outrageous taxes on sellers. Meanwhile next door Illinois reported a $116 million in state taxes paid on its first year selling legal weed and then Mo Republicans went holy crap...look at how much WE can steal............so now weed is legal and easy to buy. Amazing, huh?
