Why Are Green Party Members More Sane Than Democrats?
Internationally the Green Party has alot going against it. It's known for it's affiliation with Green Leace and thus Eco-Terrorism, Greta Thunberg, and disasterous ruling alliances with a totalitatian bent and a love of Putin's Russia.
In the United States, it has turned out differently. They don't embrace the hate and paranoia that the left has embraced, and are pretty decent human beings you can talk with. I'm a passive prepper (I don't collect guns but I do survival gear and outdoors stealth camping) and I often have alot to talk about with them involving solar panels, alternative fuels, hiking and camping.
They don't have the negative stigma of the Democrats, of being the Slavery Larty, both during the Civil War and today (bug business exploiting workers in America and overseas), representing the interests of the 1% before all else, supporting modern day racism and segregation, and paychological abuse of women, eugenic policies centered around abortion and social exclusion of minorities from their gated communities, etc.
The Democrats are a force of evil. The Greens, they just want to plant trees.
A part of this might come from the Greens being a small independent leftist party. I get that, as a conservative I picked The Prohibition Party for it's superior history and values. It had members steongly on the side of Abolition, of getting sick members of society addicted to drugs and alcohol well, giving equal rights to women. It's a very small party, few are born into it, you have to read and choose to become a member.
Green party is a bit like that. But there are alot of other leftist parties, like Marxist and Neo-Nazis parties out there with near identical party platforms as the Democrats and they are even more nuts.
In terms of a Venn Diagram, you'll get a little of each party in the other. We are still at root, human and there will always be some variation and shared interests. What I find remarkable is, in a era when the Democrats are looking more and more like the Nazis as the primier liberal movement, the Green Party in America is distancing itself from them and trying to reassert a certain level of sanity and decorum to the conversation.
Respect.
