Socialism at its finest

I work for a trucking company that has a terminal in Upstate New York . One of the new truck dealers has notified them that it is state law now that if a company wants to buy a new Desiel powered /! fossil fuel powered truck from them they MUST first purchase an electric truck before the sale of a Desiel / fossil fuel truck can be made . Now they’re telling us what kind of vehicle we must buy ?? That’s not right.

Can you cite this law? Not saying there’s not such a law under the Holchul administration but seeing it would give insight your post. Thanks.

@soar2newhighs The applicable regulation is the Advanced Clean Trucks (ACT) Regulation at 6NYCRR Subpart 218-4. You can google it and read it directly, but be prepared to be disappointed. It says the opposite of what the OP alleges. There is no requirement for dealers to fulfill a quota.
@windinhishair Thanks. I’ll look at it.

@soar2newhighs NYSDEC has a summary of it so you don't have to slog through the entire regulation. I posted a link to it earlier in this post.
