Socialism is a theory of economics and class power.
The state is a mechanism, that can be used for good or bad.

Yea socialism is the right to get nothing done bc everyone has to provide for "the we" in pursuit of bettering the self. In the end everything slows done until no one does much of anything. It Can wait bc everyone has too. The government doesnt do any more or less it just takes longer. For anything\everything to happen.

@exchrist i want marxist socialism. But being realistic only democratic socialism can be achieved in my lifetime. Keir hardie was the founder of the British labour party

@Guitarman123 thanks for the clarification. Im most interested in democratic socialism; it seems to be the natural next step after 'democratic' capitalism.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@exchrist its the only step in todays society. Non violent direct action is also important as a means to transition towards democratic socialism

@FreeSpirit1 how is that authoritarian? Its an observation
FreeSpirit1 · F
@Guitarman123 I didnt say authoritarian I said authority, when you say " Americans think" you seem to be saying you know what 340 million Americans think. no? You didn't say some people think, you said Americans, that is a blanket statement. You seem to have a problem with the definition of words
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@FreeSpirit1 i didn't say anything about 340 million Americans. You're just projecting

You’re referring to the label of “socialism” which the right wing affixes to anything the government does that is regulatory in nature it doesn’t like. It’s used to disparage, mostly.
