Is Trump Losing His Mind?

These are Trump's words verbatim from a rally in Michigan last Thursday. It's not an isolated incident. I'm wondering if the stress he's been under for the last 8 years has rendered him near psychotic.

"She destroyed the city of San Francisco, it’s — and I own a big building there — it’s no — I shouldn’t talk about this but that’s OK I don’t give a damn because this is what I’m doing. I should say it’s the finest city in the world — sell and get the hell out of there, right? But I can’t do that. I don’t care, you know? I lost billions of dollars, billions of dollars. You know, somebody said, ‘What do you think you lost?’ I said, ‘Probably two, three billion. That’s OK, I don’t care.’ They say, ‘You think you’d do it again?’ And that’s the least of it. Nobody. They always say, I don’t know if you know. Lincoln was horribly treated. Uh, Jefferson was pretty horribly. Andrew Jackson they say was the worst of all, that he was treated worse than any other president. I said, ‘Do that study again, because I think there’s nobody close to Trump.’ I even got shot! And who the hell knows where that came from, right?"

I've wondered about Trump's speech patterns myself, particularly his inability to complete sentences. I think he's suffering aphasia, and I'm not saying that to ridicule him. I genuinely think he has some kind of psychological problem. Here's the definition, so make up your own minds:

Aphasia is a communication disorder that makes it hard to use words. It can affect your speech, writing, and ability to understand language. Aphasia results from damage or injury to parts of the brain that control language. It's more common in older adults, particularly those who've had a stroke.

Aphasia affects a person's ability to communicate, but it doesn’t impair intelligence. People who have aphasia may have a hard time speaking and finding the "right" words to complete their thoughts. They may also have problems understanding conversation, reading and comprehending written words, writing words, and using numbers. People with aphasia may also repeat words or phrases.

@NativePortlander1970 no, I've already said in previous posts that Biden has severe memory issues and I felt he wasn't suitable for POTUS. And anyway, Biden isn't running anymore. But listen to Trump speaking and tell me his inability to complete coherent sentences doesn't conform to a condition of aphasia. It doesn't impair intelligence as he's obviously got some intelligence. But he ticks all the boxes for the condition, so laugh if you like, but it doesn't make me wrong.

You know, she was a district attorney, and she was the attorney general of the state. I heard the other day -- and this isn't anything -- I'm just saying. They'll say, "He was rambling." I don't ramble. I'm really smart guy, you know, really smart. I don't ramble. But the other day, anytime I hit too hard, they say, "He was rambling, rambling." You know, I get up and I make a speech.

I go for sometimes two hours, two and a half hours because, you know, people are waiting outside for three days, four days. You guys were waiting out there for a long time. Front-Row Joes are waiting out. I don't know how you guys do it. And I feel I have an obligation to speak and speak in a certain way and speak a little bit longer. You know, how would you like it? A guy's waiting with his family for three and a half, four days? They have a tent and the tent is set up, they have hundreds of them, and they wait. And then I walk in, speak for 15 minutes and leave. I don't know. Would that be OK, North Carolina, I don't think so, right?

They want me to speak all day. You know, when I leave, I did one two hours and 15 minutes, and I'm leaving and they're screaming. "No, sir. More. We want to hear more." I said, "I can't." I said, "I can't speak more. What the hell else am I going to say?" Our country is going to hell. That's all I can say. We're a nation in decline. You know, we were talking about that before. My phrases are copied so much, right? I use the term oftentimes in closing. We are a nation in decline. We are a failed nation. And I think it's a beautiful phrase, although I don't like the topic very much. I don't like what it represents, but there's a certain beauty.

He lied right out of chute. "She" didn't "destroy" anything. And he doesn't own a big building there. He owns 30 percent and, presumably, is way behind a big loan payment. The rest of is the ramblings of a man losing his mind in real time.
Anniedlr · 26-30, F
No he’s not losing his mind. He did that many years ago😂😂

Another bash America thread. Oh what will we do.

@SpudMuffin No, I think he simply has issues with people who have not been taken in by Trump. He acts solely based on his faith in Trump. It's rather sad really.

@SW-User poor guy. He needs help!

@SpudMuffin Let him have his fun. He's going to have precious little of it come November 6th😜

From what I've heard his rants on Truth Social (is that the right name?) verge on the insane; it's just lucky for his campaign that so few people actually go there.

The British press have amused us all by reporting his speeches in verbatim.

He hasn't changed. He's been talking nonsense for a long time.

I lost billions of dollars, billions of dollars. You know, somebody said, ‘What do you think you lost?’ I said, ‘Probably two, three billion. That’s OK, I don’t care.’

His vague grasp of basic maths may explain how he "accidentally" overvalued his penthouse suite. Doesn't bode well for economic policy.

Random stream of consciences....I keep saying he sounds like an old fart you hear talking on and on at the end of the bar...

It could be syphilis I suppose. He has been comparing himself to Capone a lot lately..😷

Is Trump Losing His Mind?

Yes. Given enough time, he would moved on to sharks or Hannibal Lecter.
Your point being, what?

@NativePortlander1970 @MoveAlongI know exactly what Trump said as well. He said:

"She destroyed the city of San Francisco, it’s — and I own a big building there — it’s no — I shouldn’t talk about this but that’s OK I don’t give a damn because this is what I’m doing. I know exactly what he said.

Is it like the mysteries of traditional Catholicism? You have to be one of the elect before you can begin to understand what on earth is going on?
@SunshineGirl A good example, on Ancient Aliens Georgio Tsoukalous claims Buzz Aldrin performed an ancient ritual before him and Neil Armstrong landed on the moon while hovering above it, Aldrin in his book said he did christian communion with Armstrong as he's a strong believer.
