You obviously are aware of the controversy regarding this photo op.

It's disappointing to see you carry the MSM's water for them. Much like anything the media reports on Trump, this story has been weaponized to paint Trump in the worst light.

Never mind he was there to honor fallen soldiers. Never mind that he took photos with supporters who lost loved ones in the military.

All that matters is some ceremonial "rule" that he violated.

Again, the families seem happy to have him there. They clearly wanted to take their picture with him next to the graves.

"Weird" is not much of a explanation of your feelings...in addition that word has also weaponized against Trump now...I wonder if you even realized that...

I think you can do better.

@SumKindaMunster I will admit the word “weird” never crossed my mind. I’ve used it forever.

@SumKindaMunster When you visit a grave site of someone you've lost, do you laugh and give it a thumbs up?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@independentone Have you lost a loved one in a war? Know anyone who has? If so, if they stated that they wanted to honor their dead son or daughter by taking a photo with someone they admire and respect at their grave site would you shame them and tell them that's not allowed?

I know you won't answer, you're another tedious anti Trumper who falls all over himself every time the press tells you to be outraged.

@SumKindaMunster unless the person was a comedian, it’s rare that honoring a loved one at a cemetery includes a thumbs up. Could you imagine going to a funeral and seeing someone pose over the coffin with a thumbs up…just for a photo op? I guess to each their own!
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Handfull1 Did you ask the families whose pictures were taken what they thought of the event?

It's not my business how somebody chooses to grieve. Is it yours?
Handfull1 · 61-69, F
@SumKindaMunster I can have an opinion tho. Just like yours of me!!
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Handfull1 Of course you can, I'm not sure why you believe my disagreement with you on this is about you personally.
Handfull1 · 61-69, F
@SumKindaMunster you really read too much into my comments. It was said as an example. Nothing more.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Handfull1 Well when your comments are vague, and I ask follow up questions and you get defensive, what else should I think? Why bother to respond if you aren't going to engage my questions?
Handfull1 · 61-69, F
@SumKindaMunster I guess I didn’t see them as defensive. How would you like me to respond? I agree 100%. Trump is my savior…I adore every action he takes!
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Handfull1 I'd like you to respond relevantly. You are entitled to your own opinion. My pushback is NOT meant to be a criticism of your opinion, I am asking if you thought of these things and what do you say to them?

@Handfull1
That could apply to most everything so no questions should ever be asked about anything
I don't agree and I don't believe you do either. If that was true, why have this post in the first place?

None of us are in anyone’s head

Right, exactly. But based on the picture, what's your take? They seem pretty pleased he is there, do they not? What's the likely conclusion? Likely they are happy he is there, they wanted him to be there, and they don't care that he smiled or gave a thumbs up.

So if they are ok with it, why are you offended?

Did you ask Trump if he was using this as a photo op for his campaign?
I already know the answer and so do you. He clearly did or it wouldn't be a news issue.

Did you ask him if he gives a rats ass about these people?
Of course I didn't but would assume he would say yes if asked. Why else would he be there?
@SumKindaMunster Of course I'll answer your question. And I really don't consider laughing and thumbs up at a gravesite as just another fun outing with someone I admire.
The fact that it is illegal to take photos in that part of the cemetery does mean something about laws and respect.
Handfull1 · 61-69, F
@SumKindaMunster thinking it’s weird is not the same as offended. On the last one, he could be there for a million other reasons than caring for the soldiers or families. Neither you nor I know for sure.

@SumKindaMunster is it ok to be an anti-Trumper?

Trump visited Section 60 with Utah Gov. Spencer Cox, a Republican who is running for reelection in 2024, and bereaved family members who wanted Trump there, the Washington Post reported. Media reporters and photographers were kept away from the section.

Trump laid bouquets at the headstones of two Marines, Sgt. Nicole Gee and Staff Sgt. Darin Hoover and Army Staff Sgt. Ryan Knauss. Family members accompanied him.

NPR was the first to report that Trump campaign staffers were filming in Section 60. A cemetery official attempted to prevent Trump staffers from entering the section, but "campaign staff verbally abused and pushed the official aside, according to the source," NPR wrote, citing an unnamed source with knowledge of the incident.

A senior Defense Department official familiar with the incident at Arlington National Cemetery told USA TODAY it was a minor altercation. No charges have been filed.

Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung told USA TODAY that there was "no physical altercation as described."

You care about the law and propriety when it suits your political purposes. If this was the Democrats you'd be falling all over yourself defending it and justifying it.

@SumKindaMunster same for both sides!!!
@SumKindaMunster I still think it showed no respect to post a photo of people laughing it up and giving thumbs up at a cemetery plot. Apparently you have no problem with gravesite parties.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@independentone I don't have a problem with people who have lost loved ones in wars deciding how they want to honor their dead. You apparently think you know better.

So when Biden wandered off during the Normandy events this summer and had to be coraled back by the Italian Prime Minister, was that showing disrespect to all those who had died there? Some could certainly take offense to that insensitivity.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Handfull1 Yes. But expect me to challenge you on your opinions about it.
Handfull1 · 61-69, F
@SumKindaMunster you’re a hoot!! Lol
@SumKindaMunster Biden has dementia, and I really don't think he knows where he is half the time. If Trump also mentally ill?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@independentone Apparently at the time, he was "sharp as a tack" so I'm not sure what you mean. I thought his dementia was a right wing conspiracy. 😆
