What can be said about such a man?

I have no idea of who you speak as I usually scroll past political posts. It sounds like you have tried and failed to get through to this person. Some people have already made up their minds and don't care what anybody else has to say on the matter. They will view anybody who opposes their view as lacking knowledge or willfully ignorant.

That aside, I wonder if you are as willing to discuss and be open-minded about the shortcomings of the people you support, like you expect from others? Can you understand the issues that people have with your party and its leaders. Do you think their expressed issues are trivial compared to the issues your side has with their party? I find both sides to be rather intolerant and set in their ways, and often repeating the catch phrases of their chosen party.

Due to this, I often forgo discussing politics with people who cannot or will not ponder what others have said to them. I don't want debate. Debate only tries to persuade/prove they are right, it lacks a very needed element in politics and that is listening to understand.
