@Ynotisay I saw clips of a few of the speeches. There were some great oratory and there was a great feel-good vibe to the DNC convention. The Democratic Party normally has the image of being sensible technocrats.
I think that they a running a really good campaign. It's positive, connects emotionally with people and is also politically savvy, It's a team effort too. All wings of your party: Left to right to rumoured potential leadership and VP contenders seem genuinely to have each other's back and want Kamala to win.

@Burnley123 Good assessment. Accurate. And I think it's resonating with those who just don't want the chaos, fear, anger and hate anymore. The energy is crossing over. We'll see if they can sustain but I think they will. America isn't Trump's cult. They are their own thing.

@Burnley123 The MAGAs were creaming their pants, pushing their fantasy of blood in the streets. Even when four activists tried to remove a barrier, it was so low key (including their arrest), no one noticed it.
Governor Shapiro just concluded an interview with Jack Tapper, from the convention floor. Tapper wanted his feedback on Trump's comments, specifically:
Shapiro tore Trump a new one, accusing him of promoting one of the worst antisemitic tropes: that Jews are only loyal to Israel and their religion, not their country. Similar to what the Nazis did. Shapiro said that being Jewish does not imply that he must follow a particular group in Israel, and his political views are separate from his religious belonging.

highly overrated Jewish Governor. Shapiro, for strictly political reasons, refused to acknowledge that I am the best friend that Israel, and the Jewish people, ever had. Shapiro has done nothing for Israel, and never will. Comrade Kamala Harris, the Radical Left Marxist who stole the nomination from Crooked Joe, will do even less

@Northwest It seems to me that the Democrats have a stronger bench that the Republicans, especially on terms of Orators.
Walz is an excellent VP pick but Shapiro is also highly substantive. I saw the clip where he humiliated JD Vance by calling his the most inauthentic, inorganic person to ever stand for public office in America. Brutal.
Tbf, Vance is kind of right about Shapiro: his Oratory style is completely copied from Obama: The deep voice, the expressions and even the angled turn of the head with the statesmanlike stare into the the middle distance.
Mind you, if you learn to play basketball by copying Michael Jordan, then...

@Burnley123
When Shapiro was speaking, in support of Walz, the morning Harris announced her pick, I was driving. It wan't until he announced whom he was, that I realized it was Shapiro, not Obama.
But like you said, if you want to be a great basketball player, learning from Michael Jordan is the brilliant thing to do...
