No Taxes and on tips

Heard that last night at a rally in Nevada, then heard the press secretary say the president supports it. What a great idea, who said they could not come up with good policies. I wonder why they never tried to pass it the last 4 years.

I know it was said on Jun 9th in another rally but does it rally matter who came up with the idea?

I don't care who came up with it and who jumped on board with it... it's not a bad idea as long as the combined wages and tips don't exceed the federal gateway for paying taxes.

@Ontheroad Guardrails must be implemented.
This should only apply to the service industry.
Without specifics, folks like hedgefund managers and their ilk, will suddenly claim their commissions as tips, and gain a huge tax break as a result.

@JSul3 yep, that too. There needs to be some specific language in the legislation.
