The same reason Carini didn't disclose she was friends with Imane and used to train and compete with her, unofficially.

Did you watch their press conference yesterday?

They didn't answer single question from journalists. They said they will organize a press conference to share the tests and medical records. They made journalists from all over the world wait for hours. Then microphones wouldn't work. The IBA leader was blabbering in russian without proper translator irrelevant nonsense about how upset he was on video call...and the journalists confronted them and said they were intentionally wasting time.

Speaking English & knowing basic skills of using a computer are considered the modern definition of literary. How is he a leader of anything is beyond me..
