What is a Classic Liberal?

I don't like calling the Woke Leftists Liberal. I would love to have a classic Liberal in office.

Today, a true classic Liberal, is a Republican. He is for a free market, Free speech,
and limited government. He is also against heavy regulations and more government
control.

If you are a JFK type Liberal, you should be voting for Conservative Republicans.

Today, JFK would be called a far right extremist, by the progressive leftists.

Another guy who's been in a coma since 1958. Or it could be (as is often the case with you), regurgitating the latest rant on AM radio.

Here's another hot update: conservative republicans is code for "how to make Trump, his family, the German guy, the South African guy, and the Australian guy" more money
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Northwest Nope, sorry, these are my own thought and questions.

I'm sorry you are unable to answer. Better to throw insults, and make up
some fake code, and pretend that you know people.

Trump and Musk do not need to make more money, poor Democrats like
Kamala do.

Trump will come down on EV's, do you think Elon will like that?
@Northwest I know when the Right talks about "Globalists," they mean Jews, but there's definitely an argument to be made that people like Musk, Murdoch, and Thiel are the real Globalists. They're billionaires with no loyalty to any country who fund right-wing movements all over the world. They see themselves as their own international nation. Their ideology of Technocracy, based on Ayn Rand's work, is globalist.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@BohemianBabe LOL 🤣 I see you don't mention the uber rich tech folks that
are running the Democrat party. There are by far more of them controlling politics
around the world, than a few that you don't like because of their views on Trump.

I know you are smarter than that, you know about the control tech giants have over our
lives, and politics.
@DogMan
I see you don't mention the uber rich tech folks that are running the Democrat party.

Who exactly? I'm sure there are some, that's why the Democrats are still a capitalist party, but the majority of technocratic Globalists fund the Republicans. Which makes sense, both parties are capitalist, but the Republicans only care about the rich, while the Democrats at least do pro-worker policy too.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@BohemianBabe Why do you think Republicans only care about the rich? I know the
leftwing mantra about it, but why do you think the left cares more about the people
than the right? Do you think generational welfare helps families?

Republicans are not keeping people down. Republicans are building businesses that
hire people.

Again I will say that more people got out of poverty under Trump, than any other
POTUS.

I know that you probably think high taxes on the rich, somehow helps poor people.

But the fact is it only hurts the poor, just like trying to cut oil production.

If we opened up more drilling, and more exploration, energy prices would fall
and it would help the poor more than anyone. But who, whom, is against that?
Northwest · M
@DogMan
I'm sorry you are unable to answer.

Looks like you need another reading comprehension course.

Here's the answer, again:

Another guy who's been in a coma since 1958.

In other words: strawman. Look it up.

Trump and Musk do not need to make more money, poor Democrats like
Kamala do.

Weird, because Musk, a multi-billionaire, sued to re-instate his pay package. And in another weird one: Trump needed to scramble to borrow his bail money: in the millions.

Go MAGA. That, by the way is the new "Conservative Republicans".

Sorry you can't figure out how to remain current.

Literally every policy that the Republicans pass is good for the rich, bad for the workers.

Welfare does help lift people out of poverty. Universal basic income has also been proven to work well, both in terms of reducing crime, and helping workers. But the Right will never support that because they want the workers to be poor.

Republicans are not keeping people down. Republicans are building businesses that
hire people.

There is more business growth under Democrats. Republicans also want to deregulate everything so that rich business-owners can do whatever they want to their workers. Why do you think Republicans are against unions? It's because unions empower the workers.

Again I will say that more people got out of poverty under Trump, than any other

Objectively not true. With the sole exception of Herbert Hoover, Trump lost more jobs than any other president. He inherited a booming economy from Obama and then pissed it away.

If we opened up more drilling, and more exploration, energy prices would fall
and it would help the poor more than anyone. But who, whom, is against that?

First of all, we have more oil production under Biden than Trump. So if you actually care about this, vote Harris.

Secondly, Leftists aren't against oil production. We just recognize that electric is more affordable, better for the environment, and people are choosing to switch to electric cars on their own. The switch to electric is happening whether we like it or not, and personally, I don't want China to control this market. I want those cars to be made in America.

EV's do not help the poor.

@DogMan
I'm conservative, MAGA isn't people, everyone should want to make
America great.

Like I said, you seem to have been in a coma. Only a single party, is accusing the other party of hating America, and pretending that America has been not so great.

But we both know stupid people that hate America.

Oh wait, I think I know who that single party is.

I believe in America.

What a coincidence, the people who do not vote for Trump believe in America.

do not believe we are inherently bad people, like many on the
left say we are.

Another strawman. Look it up. Should the "many on the left" hump the flag, like Trump does, make a public display of kissing the flag, or perhaps stage a rally with flag thong-wearing white trash, highlighting their camel toes?

I believe our goodness far outweighs anything bad that we may have done.
Do you believe we are the greatest country in the world?

So unless you're a knuckle dragger, or a white trash, flag thong wearing white trash, this does not apply to you?

I do, even with all the crazy
leftists that hate us.

Another strwaman. Look it up, but I think I've already told you that.

Once you guys stop hating on people that love this country,
we will get back on track

And another strawman. I see you're going for a record.

Newsflash: what's making America Great, as it has always been, is Silicon Valley, Seattle, Oregon, New York, Austin, Houston, Research Triangle, Boston, etc. as in all the liberal places, where we're creating all the technology that's always put America on top of the heap.

The fact that you pretend we waited for Trump to make America great, is quite telling. But that's MAGA to you, essentially the act of pretending you're making it happen now. 🤣 Oh and the fucking patronizing.
@DogMan
Anything that helps the rich, will also help the poor.

Absolutely not. Allowing big business to union-bust does not help the poor. Repealing regulations so corporations can do whatever they want does not help the poor.

Bee tee dubs, why do you think the Republicans pretended to be pro-union at the RNC? They know this. They are choosing to lie to people like you so you vote against your own interest

EV's do not help the poor.

Why do you think working-class people are choosing to switch to EVs? They're more affordable. EVs are going to replace oil cars whether we like it or not. Do you want this market to be controlled by China or America?
Northwest · M
@DogMan

EV's do not help the poor.

So much bad information.

[quote]Anything that helps the rich, will also help the poor.

Historically proven to be false.

@DogMan
High taxes on
the rich, has never helped the poor, OR middle class.

Tell that to Scandinavia.

EV's do not help the poor.

I'm failing to see the logic. If the USA does not maintain an edge in the EV space, it will lose the battle for EVs, or Fuel Cell Vs. Just as a reminder, that's how the US will remain great. Something you clearly don't understand.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@BohemianBabe I have nothing against EV's I will get one eventually, once my
current ICE vehicles get older. I drive 5 different vehicles, so I don't rack up miles
too fast. Poor, and lower middle class cannot afford EV's. Hell, I don't know if
you heard, but EV stations and even people that charge in their driveways, are
getting their cords cut by the thousands. I don't know if it is for the copper, or what,
but it is starting to be a big problem. Everyone will need a garage with a charger.

And EV stations will need 24/7 security.
@DogMan
Poor, and lower middle class cannot afford EV's.

So why are they choosing to switch to EVs?

Hell, I don't know if
you heard, but EV stations and even people that charge in their driveways, are

Source?

And what exactly is the alternative here? Should we not invest in better technology that is already taking over the market? Should we just let China control the auto industry as electric replaces oil?
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Northwest Like I said, I have nothing against EV's, and yes I want the US to lead
in that field.

You can't tax people into helping the poor, the poor have to help
themselves. Raising my Taxes will do nothing to help anyone.

Scandinavia has strict border control, and a strong capitalist market, they don't waste
tax dollars and most of the people contribute to society. The people of able body
and mind, are asked to contribute, unlike the US, where people are told they are
victims, and they will be taken care of, along with their children and grandchildren,
from now, till the end of time.

Awesome. Glad you're on the Left with this issue.

You can't tax people into helping the poor, the poor have to help

You're not rich, the Democrats don't want to raise your taxes.

Taxing the rich can help the poor if those taxes are spent on social programs. We're not saying tax the rich, then spend the money bombing Mexico, like the Republicans want to do.

Bruh. What Democrats are saying able-bodied people shouldn't work? Even Leftists aren't saying this. We're saying we should have programs and regulations to help the working-class, not that nobody should have to work, which doesn't even make sense.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@BohemianBabe Actually, to the left, I AM rich. My wife has owned her company for
over 25 years. I have owned my company just over 20 years. We both employ people
and pay them very well. I have employees that make over 100k per year.

@DogMan

Like I said, I have nothing against EV's, and yes I want the US to lead

So you're misunderstood when you claim the President is evil for pushing EV manufacturing (hydrogen as well) as it's a waste of money, and part of the woke agenda. Got it.

You can't tax people into helping the poor, the poor have to help
themselves. Raising my Taxes will do nothing to help anyone.

Which strangely is nowhere near the Democrat party platform. I guess when you don't know, you make it up.

It's kind of like when the common folk MAGAs erupted in triumphant joy, when Trump told them he wants to repeal estate taxes. No one told them that it benefits him, not them, unless their estate's net value is $13.61 million per individual, and double that for a couple.

I missed the part where the Democrat party platform calls for communism. Good news, it's not there.

Perhaps you should try understanding what socialism is. It is not incompatible with capitalism, and should not.

Also, you seem to be mistaking modern day Scandinavia with the slogans from Nazi Germany. You need to educate yourself.

Trying to deny that some people are victims of their ethnic and social background, is sticking your head in the sand, but as a white male, from a red state, it's not likely you will have empathy toward others who are not like you.

I also suggest you educate yourself, and learn the difference between Hungary and Sweden.

I see you haven't looked it up yet. Hint: the government wants big corporations to pay their fair share, is not synonymous to "the government wants to increase taxes on mom and pop shops". I'm confident you can process this, but perhaps the guy who wants Gazans to dig their wells, and he's so confident they can, may not be able to process this. 🤣
