What is a Classic Liberal?

I don't like calling the Woke Leftists Liberal. I would love to have a classic Liberal in office.

Today, a true classic Liberal, is a Republican. He is for a free market, Free speech,
and limited government. He is also against heavy regulations and more government
control.

If you are a JFK type Liberal, you should be voting for Conservative Republicans.

Today, JFK would be called a far right extremist, by the progressive leftists.

In my view a classic liberal supports an improved standard of living for the poor and working people, supports equality for all, opposed to discrimination and racism, favors protecting the environment, supports protecting the vulnerable from those with wealthy and power.

@DogMan In that quote I believe President Kennedy was talking about public service to the country. We get many rights and services being American citizens. We also have responsibilities. There is give as well as take.
