Starmer suspends labour MPs for six months for refusing to overturn a Tory child benefits cap.

This is Starmer's Labour: authoritarian and centre right.

Hence my post yesterday

One thing that he does not want to over turn it but to suspend the MPs in favour is a really poor shout.

What does Starmer plan to do for child poverty?

@BabyLonia I didn't see that but all I can say is that I agree. I'm in the belly of the beast as a party members so I follow this closely and I've been warning people about this for some time.

Starmer (and the faction he works with) do not care about child poverty. They care about winning elections and for their own personal sake. Their only 'moral' crusade isn't against child poverty, but against the left of their own party.

@Burnley123 To be fair, you wouldn't get the kind of policies you want without winning elections!

@MartinII I haven't got the policies I want anyway.

@Burnley123 No, but they (or some of them) are surely closer to what you want than would have been the case if Labour had not been in gov.
