I think both don't know their asses from a hole in the ground but that's my opinion

Yes, they are better than any other in their respective fields. And they know how to really handle the situations.

For ex - Elections were called in a country in Asia and Elon Musk was pre scheduled to visit this country. Plan was to get Elon Musk on table and let the masses see how great of a leader they are to be visited by Elon. Elon applied his critical mind and postponed his visit to not influence the election in any way.

Another example is of Donald Trump. He knows exactly how to deal with Russia and it's a no Brainerd fact that in each term of a different President, Putin annexed some territory of the west. The only safe term for the west was 2016-2020. Trump knew how to negotiate. He knew that North Korea won't possess any threat to the United States. Still, he chose to meet Kim Kong Un to sort out things going on. This is how you deal Internationalpotitik, not by ignoring things before they go too big and turn into a war.

Russia was observing the departure of US troops from Afghanistan closely. The way they departed made Russia confident in their move. Had it been Trump, he would have taken better measures.

I think Trump knows far more than most about how to manipulate and deceive people, but little else. I think Elon used to know a lot about managing engineering teams, but hubris has been cancelling that knowledge.
