@graphite Republicans: MAGA police confiscating all the delegates phones at the RNC, and handing them a prepared platform and told that they would not be allowed to discuss it. They were only allowed to vote yes on it, and vote Trump to be the nominee.

@MoveAlong Yeah his decision was to either jump or he was getting pushed. I doubt very much it was "totally his decision".

@MoveAlong He quit after Democrats ranging from Pelosi to Obama to even loser George Clooney wanted him gone.

Republicans in 2016: "We have this annoying extra candidate that we don't like - Donald Trump. (see: Jeb Bush vs. Donald Trump) But we have to do the democratically elected thing and let him run." And that's what they did. And Trump got the nomination, unlike Sanders, who was blocked from the Democrat nomination.
Also Democrats: "Republicans are enemies of democracy!"

NY Times and MSN are known partisan Democrat supporters. Trump won the nomination fairly and squarely against candidates ranging from Ron DeSantis to Nikki Haley. Did Trump engineer it so anyone who ran against him in the primary wouldn't get legit votes? Nope. Biden also won the Democrat nomination fairly and squarely. But the "party of democracy" has run him out.
