Support for Ukraine: Time for a Clear Decision

Since the start of the war, Ukraine has received significant support from the EU and the USA, totaling approximately $332 billion. The EU has contributed around $162 billion, while the USA has provided about $175 billion.

Now, we must make a clear decision: Either we end the support and give nothing more, effectively ending the war, or we provide Ukraine with enough resources to actually drive Russia out of their country and thereby end the war. This constant "giving a little" is not enough to maintain the status quo and will keep the war dragging on for decades. It is time to take a decisive stance and either fully support the conflict or cease aid entirely.

There is only one right/ethical/moral way forward. Flood Ukraine with everything thay need to force Putin to stop his invasion of a sovereign nation. Short of that, the U.S. will be responsible for the destruction of Ukraine, and weakening itself and NATO.

If you aren't bright/savy enough to understand, then don't bother bother responding.

@Ontheroad The US has been doing that since 2008. It's not working because it can never work. Ukraine is more Russian than American or even western European.

@hippyjoe1955 no, the U.S. has been piddling around just like we did in many other conflicts, supporting other nations or diectly involved. Putin must be stopped and now, not later.

@Ontheroad the US is broke. It can't make enough equipment to defeat Russia. Russia makes more arms in a week than the US does in a year.

@Ontheroad why must Putin be stopped? Remember when he asked to join NATO? Some threat he is. Pfffftttt

@hippyjoe1955 think strategically. With every win he gains power, influence and $$$. In the past, we missed our chance many times over ... time to put him in his place and announce to others that we are done playing.

@Ontheroad Outspend the enemy? that's your strategy? And when UN countries economies start collapsing, then what?

Sounds like Cold War 2.0 to me... and even though the USSR collapsed, the resulting fallout wasn't what I'd call a victory...

@wildbill83 What is the alternative? I'd love to hear what you have to say on that.

We have a choice, pay now or pay later when the enemy is stronger and is stronger because we wimped out and played the isolationist game.

Time and time again we have wimped out and this is what it gets us. Nowhere and worse than nowhere, two major forces aligned with several minor forces strung out across the world who want only one thing... the end of the U.S.

Stop thinking about yourself and think globally, think strategically.

@Ontheroad The alternative is simply PEACE! Then get our act together and get our people back on track. Russia is no threat to anyone. China is no threat. The only threat is us. We are the problem.

@Ontheroad Perfectly put. Arm Ukraine....never let it run out of bullets.
