Grindr servers crash due to high volume in Milwaukee

In case anyone isn't aware, Grindr is a gay hookup service, similar to Tinder, but for gay men. And for anyone not paying attention, the Republican party held their national convention this week in Milwaukee. In a development that should be surprising to no one, this was an opportunity for delegates to engage in the kinds of activities that may be problematic for them back home, to the point that Grindr's servers crashed from the additional traffic.

I don't intend this to be a dig at gay men; what annoys me is the hypocrisy. These are the same people who plan on revoking same-sex marriage and criminalizing trans people. While I can understand why a conservative might not want people to know that they're engaging in casual gay sex and hookups, it's disgusting that they're engaging in the same behavior they want to punish others for. I wouldn't be upset if some hacker publicly exposed every one of them.

It's been documented before around Republican conventions. Cracks me up. Do as I say - not as I do. SO many of them hate gay and trans because they're battling their own desires. Or following through when they're out of town. Their insecurity turns in to oppression and hate for others. It's so remarkably weak.

@MarthannBann888 I don't think your experience at a Republican convention (assuming you're not just making that up) is indicative. Assuming you're female, you would have been the last person any closeted male delegates would have shared their activities with. The fact that Grindr's servers crashed due to unusually high activity in Milwaukee is certainly suggestive.

Here's a study showing that the most homophobic men are also the most aroused by gay porn.

I have a doctorate in psychology, and I read the study years ago. What is amazing to me is how much sympathy and support the liberal gay community gives to Muslims. You would think that they have no idea that homosexuality is a capital offense in muslin countries. Friends of the gay community like Hilary Clinton sent an openly gay man, Christopher Stevens, to Benghazi knowing that it against the law to be gay in that country. She had to know that they would kill him, and indeed they did.
You say that republicans oppose homosexuality, but that doesn’t make it true. You people say something often enough and that makes it true for you. Saul Alinsky wrote that 50 years ago in a book he dedicated to Satan. Just because you say something is true when it’s not. By the way, police arrest women when they hook up with men on these phone things. Gay men are the richest demographic in the country.

And, none of this has to do with behavior at conventions. All of these charges are all false. Sure, there are sometimes demonstrations on some years. We welcome them so long as they honor others. Sister Soulja was nice enough to allow me to get my picture taken with him in Neiman Marcus in Dallas.

And you intentionally miss the point which it is the procedures performed on CHILDREN that is concerning. But know that, don’t you? That is your lie on this issue. Make it a means of unethically demonizing republicans for something they NEVER said. Everything is about demonizing somebody.
