Second is that Kim Il-sung established a security and control system that would have made Joseph Stalin blush. From the “rule of threes” (anyone found to be disloyal in word or deed will have three generations “expunged” — at best all three generations go to the gulag and at worst all three are totally expunged, as in execution) to the establishment of a personal loyalty system — i.e., you get promoted or get ahead or are simply allowed to exist by demonstrating personal loyalty to the regime and not by merit — means that there is a system of control that is totally focused on protecting the regime from rebellion. This personal loylty system has the added benefit of preventing coups because anyone who says a word against the regime must be reported both by regulation but also because by reporting it one further demonstrates one’s loyalty to the regime and allows that person to “get ahead.”

@AthrillatheHunt First off, North Korea has always been a cult and really cut off from the outside. The United States isn't like that at all, we have diversity of views so it's a lot harder to try to make a cult of personality like North Korea. However, where the danger lays in, is in sheer muscle power of fascists when or if they make fascist laws that they can enact.
That's the danger, not that everyone would accept it or go quietly. North Korea works because it's been closed off period, that's why it's been successful. The United States can be successful with laws and the sheer power of the police force, that's how it can be successful but it's nothing like closed off North Korea.
Secondly, you mistakenly think that rebelling means being loud and just detailing my crimes of rebellion. I'm very comfortable talking about it now because we're not at a fascist stage yet, it's just my opinion sorry if that offends you snowflake 🫶
But you likely won't know what I've been up to either which way if that were to happen, no way I'm going to be on here detailing any illegal or inciting acts period. You won't know, period.
There's other ways to be effective and there are tons of psychological warfare tactics that I'm sure work just as well. Just as much as warfare works for my enemies, it can also work for me against them as well for two can play that game.
As for state snitches, it's highly doubtful it would ever get to that point and I hope for the best but if it did get to that point and people snitch on others to send them to work camps then I have no issue getting rid of them if need be. Just like how people were making the religious police disappear in the Middle East for a time (it was on a local Middle Eastern news site.) I'm sure that can work the same way too.
