Inexcusable that a radio transmission (and was there even one?) could not have reached Secret Service agents near the podium where Trump was speaking to get him under cover.

It was a staged event, which is why it played out on dozens of cameras as a staged event, including the way too bright-red stain on the side of Trump's face which was suppose to resemble blood. Nobody's buying it.
