Are Federal agents are botching the assassination investigation? Will this fuel conspiracy theories for years to come . . .?

Photo above - will the real Thomas Matthew Crooks please stand up . . . ?

My condolences to the relatives of the bystander who was shot, and the 2 additional injured attendees in Butler Pennsylvania. That said, there are a LOT of errors being made in this investigation.

1. Failure to secure nearby rooftops before the rally. The rooftop – 130 yards away – is approximately the same unobstructed distance that Lee Harvey Oswald shot Kennedy and Connolly from. And they were moving targets in a motorcade. Trump was standing motionless.

2. Thomas Matthew Crooks was photographed near the entrance to the rally, avoiding entry because of the magnetometers. He was allowed to depart without being searched or questioned.

3. Attendees on the ground later noticed Crooks crawling on a nearby rooftop carrying a rifle, and alerted the police officers nearby. Either that information was not conveyed to the Secret Service, or it was ignored.

4. Immediately after the shots were fired, Crooks was killed by a single headshot even though he was not wearing body armor. An eyewitness said “they blew his head off”. From 130 yards away, Secret Service agents had the same unobstructed view of Crooks, as the assassin had of Trump.

5. The rally site was cleared almost immediately, allowing potential eyewitness to depart, without securing attendee videos or stills of the shooting. The departing attendees could also have removed evidence like shell casings, and items with fingerprints.

6. It took nearly 3 hours to disclose the shooter had been killed immediately, and that he shot 3 attendees in addition to Trump.

7. Crooks wasn’t named for an additional 8 hours. The dead and injured bystanders still have not had their names released.

8.Crooks' residence – the one he shared with his parents – wasn’t entered for 5 hours. There was a police cordon more than an hour earlier, but they did not enter. This would have given an opportunity for occupants or co-conspirators to destroy evidence.

9.There is a report that Crooks was one of 11 million subscribers to a popular YouTube gun channel. He had been wearing “hunting gear” to public school for years. But there has been no identification of which shooting range Crooks practiced at. He didn’t develop these skills by watching TV. Lee Harvey Oswald received weapons training while a US marine. Who trained Crooks?

I'm just askin' . . .

You didn't mention the weapon he used, a favorite in these public shootings. Just saying!
SusanInFlorida · 31-35, F
@samueltyler2 he stole it from his dad. who bought it "legally" less than a year ago. the AR15 is unsuitable either for goose or deer, which are the primary game animals in pennsylvania. i'm looking forward to reading more about why his dad thought he needed this, and what political organizations he's a member of.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SusanInFlorida i wasn't going to use that word, stole, but it certainly seems he took it without permission. I also heard that the perp had bombs in his apartment and car
SusanInFlorida · 31-35, F
@samueltyler2 @samueltyler2 the media is going with "stole", evidently from the FBI after interviewing his daddy. but the odd part is that daddy only bought the weapon 6 months ago, after his son turned 18. there's possibly more to learn here.

i want to know what gun range the son trained on, what weapon he used, what ammo he bought. when we answer these, we'll be able to say whether the weapons was stolen, shared, a gift, or what.

this kid has been wearing hunting camo to high school for years. what daddy DOESN'T want to improve relations with his oddball son, in hopes that he'll straighten out, get a job, and meet a nice girl?

@SusanInFlorida the MAGA people are really going nuts!
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@samueltyler2 yep, it’s the MAGA vs the MAWA thing, over and over :)

@samueltyler2

Make America Great Again
Vs
Make America Worst Again
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Heartlander okay, stick with that if you desire. Are you thus, calling for civil war?
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@samueltyler2 No …. I’m calling for hope. Reverse the downward spiral that Democrats keep driving America into. MakeAmerica Better, Make America GREAT.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Heartlander you certainly seem to be espoused by a civil war. You also will have a very hard time convincing me that MAGA policies, including the portion of the Republican agenda and Project 2025 that is available for review, will advance our country.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@samueltyler2 Our last civil war was fought over the Democrats’ insistence on the right to possess other humans as slaves. Even after that war they tried to circumvent their failure by doing everything imaginable to prevent Black Americans from voting or exercising their rights as citizens.

Some Black people have since been invited to a place at the Democrat table, as long as they remember their place and vote Democrat.

@Heartlander OH FFS! You gotta make this a political statement now?? I suppose since you have Trumps Tweets as a template, why not?? A sick kid just died and took another person with him.. You see me gloating over one less Trump Supporter??😷
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@samueltyler2 Why are you Democrats so accepting of big Democrat cities where 30%+ of the kids drop out of school? Why are you so accepting of economic dead zones in big Democrat cities where public housing units outnumber home owners? Why are you Democrats so accepting of cities where those who stay live with the risk of drive by shooting and other violent crimes?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Heartlander because what you say is both exaggerated and false. Drive by shootings, why is there a need for do many guns? It is estimated that there are more guns then total US population.
@SusanInFlorida The dad is supposedly a Libertarian.
SusanInFlorida · 31-35, F
@samueltyler2 it's his daddy's AR 15. daddy bought it 6 months ago. whether junior took it without permission, or this was a proxy purchase by dad remains to be seen.

i can't imagine that juniors parents did NOT know he was "off kilter". they lived with him for 20 years.
SusanInFlorida · 31-35, F
@LeopoldBloom they're not typically the guys who go for militias and white supremacy, are they? their creed it "everything is legal" . . . including all drugs, all religions, all sexual activities, all capitalist ventures.
@SusanInFlorida I don't think the father is a militia member or a white supremacist, but libertarians definitely like their guns and oppose gun control of any kind.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@SusanInFlorida You did leave out part of the Libertarian creed. " Do no harm" That puts limits on what a person can do without being answerable..😷
SusanInFlorida · 31-35, F
@whowasthatmaskedman thats because i'm not a libertarian. i'm not a member of any political party. i'm not a member of any church. i have never worn a uniform, or carried a gun - not even as a civilian.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@samueltyler2 For a clue of how well Democrat gun law proposals will work look at how successful those Democrats are with stopping human trafficking and shutting down drug cartels.
