198 Democrats vote in favor of election interference.

On Wednesday night, 198 house Democrats voted against a bill that would require proof of citizenship to register to vote. Democrats have spent years spewing fake outrage over foreign election interference after falsely claiming it lead to Donald Trump being elected president. There is no reason for Democrats to oppose this law besides the obvious reason which is out of desperation they want illegal immigrants voting in our federal elections. This is the main reason so many Democrats remain unbothered by the crisis at our southern border. For those who can see right through the Democrats web of nonsense please continue to pray for our republic.

Stop drinking the Kool-Aid. This is an attempt to prevent American citizens from voting. There is already a law on the books and there is zero reason to add the onerous requirements of this law.

I might feel differently if there was voter fraud... there isn't and that is a proven fact.
@Ontheroad It's not a proven fact. Quite the opposite actually. The current system enabled 11,198 illegal immigrants to register to vote in my home state of Pennsylvania and that is according to the Washington Times of all places.

This is an attempt to prevent American citizens from voting.

What? 🤔
Ontheroad · M
@strictdadhusbandanduncleinpa Hahahaha! The Washington Times is a conservative rag that can't be trusted any more than your disingenuous statement or Trump.

Fact-check yourself before posting and stop drinking the Kool-Aid.
@Ontheroad I don't drink Kool Aid. I'm more of a beer drinker. And my belief is in November I will be the one saying Hahaha!!

@Ontheroad

Right, tell other people to stop promoting narratives and biased news. Please, show us how its done if you can....you already failed at least once here...
Ontheroad · M
@SumKindaMunster not that I'm aware of... I don't promote anything but facts, and if you can show me where I am not usinjg facts, I'll be happy to retract.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Ontheroad You just stated this bill prevents Americans citizens from voting. That's nonsense and not at all factual.

It's you who needs to back that supposed "fact" with proof. You made the claim, back it up.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@SumKindaMunster they assume illegals are now automatically Americans
Ontheroad · M
@SumKindaMunster easy. If an American service member serving in a remote location overseas has to submit not only his military ID, but a passport, birth certificate, or official military record showing his place of birth, it would be nearly impossible for them to get it done in time to register and send in his vote via the postal system. That is just one example... read all the requirements in HR 8281 and you can see the onerous requirements trying to be put in place before the election.

I have zero problem with voter ID, but changing the rules that always have worked just fine a few months before the election, is voter suppression.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Ontheroad such a load.
Ontheroad · M
@MasterLee another intelligent response🙄
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Ontheroad That's ridiculous. Even if your extreme example happened, they would still get a provisional ballot and still be able to cast their vote.

I have zero problem with voter ID, but changing the rules that always have worked just fine a few months before the election, is voter suppression

Uh huh. Did you feel the same in 2020 when we had to mail in all our ballots? Since you have a problem changing the rules so close to an election.

@Ontheroad thank you
@Ontheroad I'm a military brat that voted in my first election my senior year of high school in 2000 with an absentee ballot because I was overseas. Nothing in this bill would change how that is done. This is not intended to keep military personnel and their dependents from voting and this guy knows it.
Ontheroad · M
@strictdadhusbandanduncleinpa @SumKindaMunster I am a retired soldier who had more than one remote assignment, which had me living separated from military installations and support. If, by the time this bill could be in effect, I wanted to vote, there is no way I would have been able to jump through the hoops outlined in the Bill.

There is zero reason for this Bill, it is voter suppression or an attempt at it. It is what it is. Fortunately, it has zero chance of going forward.

As for mail-in ballots in 2020, there was no other sensible way to handle it.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Ontheroad I am a former military man. This bill does not effect the military and it is disingenuous to say it.
Ontheroad · M
@MasterLee Read the Bill. It does, can, and will.

@Ontheroad I had to show my ID to buy beer yesterday. After giving this some thought I realized that this wasn't being done to prevent anyone from illegally buying alcohol underage. This was being done to suppress the alcohol consumption in this country. That cashier at the grocery store is a threat to democracy.

@Ontheroad Its true, its a manufactured lie designed to prevent fair voting
