Iran has elected a non-hardliner president, Dr Masoud Pezeshkian. He secured slightly over 50% of 30 million votes.

Ayatollah Kamenei rather ominously stated, "We know there are those who do not accept the current regime it is not like they are hidden and not seen."

@MrBrownstone Highly unlikely, but he is more likely to let up the pressure on women. Iran is still an Islamic country, it would be truly a surprise if they became pro-LGBTQ especially if their head of state and the administrative apparatus of the nation is filled with hardline theocrats.
