Louisiana passes law that all schools and universities must display the Ten Commandments

because they are
the foundational documents of our state and national government".

So much for the Constitution. Let’s now also ignore the 2nd amendment and do something about banning firearms!

Unless this happens first

You might find this nugget interesting.

I listened to a judge commenting on the constitutionality of it today. Apparently the 10 Commandments are posted everywhere in Washington DC. They are on the doors of the Congressional library, they are above the Speaker's chair in the House, and they are there because, historically, they are the first set of known laws.

Because they are laws, and because the founders felt that they were the basis for our nation's morality, they have been included and incorporated into our own laws.

The judge said that they have transcended religion, and have become a matter for historical study, and are an element of Civics.

For that reason, she said that it is possible the state of Louisiana might win all the lawsuits being brought against it. Let's wait and see, shall we?
