After Top NFL Legend Lawrence Taylor Endorses Trump – He Says Family Will ‘Never Vote Democrat Again’

“I just wanted to say I grew up a Democrat and I’ve always been a Democrat until I met this man right here,” Taylor told the crowd, referring to Trump. “And I tell you what, he will not have to worry nobody in my family ever voting for a Democrat again.”

That’s a bold statement of support from the legendary football player who spent 12 years with the New York Giants and won two Super Bowls there. NFL running back Ottis Anderson, who played for the Giants, also stepped up to the podium and commented on the crowd enthusiasm. Chants of “U.S.A” broke out as the two walked off the stage with Trump complimenting them as “two great guys.”

A Wildwood spokesperson said up to 100,000 people attended the rally. Trump said this was a show of momentum that could change the electoral map this November by placing New Jersey in play for a Trump win.

Politics should never be a team sport. Vote for the best person not the team.

@hippyjoe1955 If you could vote in the U.S., which Democrats would you support?
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Lila15 about the only one whose policies I could support was kicked out of the party. Can't think of her name right now.
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@hippyjoe1955 I can't think of any Democrats who were kicked out of the party. You must be thinking of Republicans like Liz Cheney, who was kicked out for opposing Trump despite being a staunch conservative in every other area.

Maybe you're thinking of Tulsi Gabbard? She left the party on her own. Gabbard was raised in a hysterically homophobic cult that is an offshoot of the Hare Krishnas, but a lot of conservatives like her because she's not a traditional liberal and looks good in a bathing suit.

I would have thought you'd like Joe Manchin as he supports coal mining and is anti-abortion.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Lila15 Liz was not a good fit. Neither was Tulsi. Not sure what that has to do with voting best candidate rather than party line.
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@hippyjoe1955 Liz Cheney is a staunch conservative and but for her opposition to Trump, she'd probably be a senator now and a presidential contender. Any Republican who opposes Trump is "not a good fit" at the moment. Look at how they attacked Larry Hogan because his defense of Trump after his conviction wasn't enthusiastic enough. He could very well lose his senate race to the Democrat because despite his former popularity as governor, now many Republicans might not vote for him.

Gabbard definitely wasn't a good fit for the Democratic party, and isn't a member anymore. So she wouldn't count. And since I brought up Joe Manchin, he's left the Democratic party too. No surprise there.

So again, can you name a current Democrat you'd support over a Republican?
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Lila15 Cheney is about as conservative as Chairman Mao. No wonder you have such a confused outlook when it comes to politics.
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@hippyjoe1955 You clearly don't know who she is outside of her opposition to Trump. According to the ultra-conservative Heritage Foundation, Cheney's conservative voting score is 71%, while the average Republican score is 89%. Marco Rubio only scores 67%. That's hardly "as conservative as Chairman Mao." That puts her in the same category as Idaho Republican Mike Crapo, who is definitely a conservative.

Representatives scoring 0% include Democrats like Richard Blumenthal, Bob Casey, Tammy Duckworth, Kirsten Gillibrand, John Hickenlooper, Amy Klobuchar, Eric Swalwell, Raphael Warnock (I could go on but you get the point). Putting Cheney in that group just demonstrates your ignorance and hatred for anyone who goes against your orange lord and savior.

This is why the Republican party won't survive after Trump is out of the picture, which will happen eventually. It no longer has a governing philosophy and has turned into a cult of worship of one man.

@hippyjoe1955 I guess for you anyone to the left of Benito Mussolini is a communist.

@hippyjoe1955 Mussolini was a fascist. He was about as far-right as you could get.

Our system isn't designed to elect "the best the US has to offer." It's designed to elect one of the two people who manage to rise to the top within their party. I'm not sure any country on earth has a system to put "the best" (however you define that) in charge. Democratic elections are basically a popularity contest. The alternative is monarchy, and if you think that system is designed to come up with "the best," you're out of your mind.

@Lila15 No Mussolini and Hitler were both socialists. The emblem of the fascists show a reverence for the state and the state power. The simple fact is that in this world there are two sorts of people those who worship the state and those who do not. You, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Mao etc all worship the state. I don't. I really don't care about the left or right label. It is artificial nonsense whereby one sect of state worshippers can disparage another set of state worshippers based on the artificial definitions created by state worshippers. This also applies to political parties. Let's be honest the Republicans when in power pursued the same policies as the Democrats when they were in power and the Democrats followed the same policies as the Republicans. Trump if re-elected will have almost 0 effect on the direction of the US. Biden didn't change much of what Trump wanted to do and Trump didn't change much from what Obama wanted to do etc etc etc.
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@hippyjoe1955 You're also a socialist since you support a socialized military and law enforcement. All modern countries are combinations of capitalist and socialist. The only completely non-socialist economy would be total anarchy. Private industry was not outlawed under Hitler or Mussolini, so they weren't any more socialist than Ronald Reagan.

As for change, it depends on how you define it. The US is still a constitutional democratic republic, so in that sense, neither Trump nor Biden changed anything. Trump managed to stack the Supreme Court with Federalist Society hacks, which allowed several states to pass laws against abortion, which was a pretty big change. In fact, that change alone accounts for how well the Democrats have been doing in the elections since then, and if Trump loses in November, that will probably be the biggest reason.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Lila15 where do you find that I support socialized military or police?
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@hippyjoe1955 If you don't support them, how do you propose to have national defense with just voluntary contributions to private contractors? Or you don't believe in countries either?
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Lila15 and when there is a socialised armed forces you end up with endless wars like the US is involved in. Or the corrupt police such as we see in the FBI.
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@hippyjoe1955 I get that. You can definitely have private security replace the police, although that means only rich people will be protected. Poor people can pool their resources if possible but the ones living hand to mouth will be out of luck. But since security responds to specific incidents, it doesn’t matter if my neighbor isn’t protected as long as I am.

What I don’t get is how a military works without a government and taxation to pay for it because it has to protect everyone. Can you explain?
