... the promise of abiding by a contract.
And the terms of the contract were to HUSH🤣😂
And why was she contracted to HUSH?? For election purposes😂🤣😂
DUUUDE!!! Changing the name doesn't change the fact that it operates EXACTLY like HUSH MONEY🤣😂🤣😂
It may not be a crime to pay a sex worker for sex.
It may not be a crime to pay a sex worker for silence.
But is SURE AS HELL IS A CRIME to classify those payments as "legal expenses."
It ain't the crime, it's the coverup, dude!!

@ElwoodBlues Kinda like hiding laptops, eh?
ElwoodBlues · M
@sunsporter1649 Who do you think is hiding laptops? And is there a contract involved??
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues So suppressing information about candidates is illegal how?
JollyRoger · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues Exactly: 'paying Hush Money" is only a colloquial name for it. In this case it's not even the payment that's on trial.... it's the manner in which the payment was 'written off' as an election expense.... the onus of proof is only on what Cohen did to cover it up and the case rests on whether Trump asked him to do it or if he agreed to Cohen doing it. Think about it @sunsporter1649 - you can throw out all the red-herrings you like but it's all just fish.... the facts are already there!
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@JollyRoger So when you gonna arrest those 51 “intelligence experts” for suppressing the hunter laptop story and being paid to do so?
ElwoodBlues · M
@sunsporter1649 We know you're losing, sunstroke, when you keep trying to change the subject, LOL!!!

@ElwoodBlues So now it is is illegal for attorney’s to negotiate contracts and get paid for their work, eh?
ElwoodBlues · M
@sunsporter1649 Nope. It's illegal to file paperwork claiming the hush money payments were "legal expenses." The fact that the money passed thru whatever hands doesn't alter the fact that it's hush money for campaign purposes.
If a supermarket owner passed on the hush money to Trump's sex workers, would that make the hush payments grocery expenses? Of course not!! The fact that the money passed thru whatever hands doesn't alter the fact that it's hush money for campaign purposes.

@ElwoodBlues So non-disclosure agreements negotiated between attorneys are now illegal?

@sunsporter1649 Nope. As I keep repeating, It's the falsification of business records that's illegal. In this case, he falsified records by claiming hush money for campaign purposes was a "legal expense."

@ElwoodBlues We get it, negotating contracts and getting paid for negotating contracts is now illegal, especially when the statue of limitations has expired on the alleged misdameanor infractions, right?
ElwoodBlues · M
@sunsporter1649 Trump's infractions were falsification of business records. The statue of limitations has NOT expired on the falsification.

@ElwoodBlues We get it, expired statue of limitations on alleged misdameanor charges is just cause to elevate alleged misdameanor charges to felonies in a stupid attempt to disrupt a federal election by a local prosecutor who spends his free time downgrading felonies to misdameanors.

@ElwoodBlues But falsifying business records is a misdemeanor with a two-year statute of limitations, meaning prosecutors would be prohibited from charging Trump with that crime after 2019, which was five years ago. They obviously missed that deadline by a mile.
We also know that New York law allows falsifying business records to be upgraded to a felony if the alleged falsification was done with “intent to defraud that includes an intent to commit another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof.” In that case, the statute of limitations extends to five years, which would have allowed prosecutors to charge Trump as late as 2022. Prosecutors missed that deadline, too.

@sunsporter1649 New York Law provides that if a person leaves the State, then the Statute of Limitations is suspended and does not run when they are absent from the State.
That greatly extends the felony deadline for Trump, who lived in Washington for four years.
The period under subdiv(2) is 5 years; prosecution cannot add more than 5 years to that. Doesn't matter; that absence rule gave Bragg loads of time.

4.In calculating the time limitation applicable to commencement of a criminal action, the following periods shall not be included:
(a) Any period following the commission of the offense during which (i) the defendant was continuously outside this state or (ii) the whereabouts of the defendant were continuously unknown and continuously unascertainable by the exercise of reasonable diligence. However, in no event shall the period of limitation be extended by more than five years beyond the period otherwise applicable under subdivision two.
