Republicans have changed the most. While the Democratic Party has always had extremists supporting the party, the Democrats have never embraced the extremist's ideas. The Republican Party has now become the party of Extreme Radicals.

GOP used to be the party of Law & Order. Now they think any prosecution of their guy is a fixed legal system.

Only that the two party system is an illusion. DC is run by a uniparty, where the difference between republicans and democrats is merely an illusion. The corruption and anti-Americanism is far more obvious.
