A true believer in the American ideal: justice, freedom, human rights.

Edward Snowdon fled to Russia where he is protected from the US Government since 2013.
The guy who alerted Americans that the NSA was illegally collecting all their data.
Ended up so persecuted by the government and their propaganda arm the media.
He fled to Russia so he didn’t end up like epstien or like 70 odd Hillary associates…

Still persecuted to this day as traitor and Russian asset.. blows one’s mind at the cognitive dissonance with Americans…

Good is bad
Bad is good
War is peace
Knowledge is ignorance ✊🏻

The NSA was not collecting data illegally. Congress had authorized it including funding for that capability. The potential for illegality is a clear and present danger. You and everyone can be strip searched and cavity checked without your knowledge or permission. Also, you can be surveilled in real time thru your cellphone, credit cards, bank accounts, and located thru facial recognition captured on digital cameras anywhere in the world. This conversation is not private. The NSA guy is watching our keystrokes and looking at our faces thru the camera on our computers.

Snowdon was disturbed by the realization that the US was morphing into a totalitarian state with absolute powers and capability to locate and neutralize anyone, American or alien, in total secrecy.
He was staring into the eyes of the Devil, and he blew the whistle as he ran away.

I can't wrap my head around this reality. We saw people trapped in totalitarian states fleeing to the west. Back in the days, they were shot trying to escape from East Germany, and North Korea. Seems like we have come full circle and are now the ones living under a dictatorship.

Snowden is a two-bit man child.
@Bumbles Tell me without telling me you would have been a loyalist in 1776.

Except Russia has none of them.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow And what are those issues? I have never been to Russia.
@sree251 Justice being largely for the wealth, freedoms being more privileges despite what is on paper, and well human rights are also just a privilege afforded only to some on a global scale.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow In other words, all cultures are similar in the way they operate.
Sad how quickly that gets forgotten.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Yup. I was watching "Citizen Four" while working out on my exercise bike today. I was heartened to know that there are Americans, like Snowdon, who still believe in our country. It's unfortunate that we have become idealists, and not realists.
